Fall After School Teen Program Begins 10/7
From October 7 – November 16 2019, Radio Free Brooklyn will conduct the fall session of RFB Teen Squad, its popular after school program for NYC teenagers which began in January 2019. During the course of the free 6-week program, participants meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 4-6pm, and learn the basics of radio broadcasting, including studio building, audio equipment, radio interviewing & field recording, music DJing, audio editing, show preparation, and performing live broadcasting. On the final day of the session, students will host or co-host a live radio show that they’ve prepared throughout the week.
Upon completion of the program, students will have the opportunity to host their own weekly live programs on Radio Free Brooklyn’s “Teen Squad Live” streaming network.
All sessions take place at Radio Free Brooklyn’s learning studio at 119 Ingraham Street in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn. RFB Teen Squad is open to all NYC teenagers between the ages of 13-18, and is free to all who are accepted.
